Luxury Hotel du Cap Eden-Roc is located on the tip of Cap d’Antibes between Cannes and Nice on the Cote d Azur in France. Perhaps one of the most famous and exclusive luxury hotels in the world it is a favorite of A list celebrities and the world’s elite. Set amid a fragrant pine forest occupying 22 acres of perfectly manicured gardens right to the cliffs of Mediterranean Sea it offers its lucky guests a superb choice of luxury accommodation, world class gourmet dining and a pure South of France vista in an ultra glamorous setting.
Hotel du Cap Eden Roc was originally constructed in 1870 in the purest Napoléon-III style and was initially christened “Villa Soleil” before becoming the legendary Grand Hôtel du Cap in 1889. This luxury hotel was made famous by F Scott Fitzgeralds when it was used as the model for the Hôtel des Etrangers in the classic film “Tender is the Night”. The original chateau houses the marble-floored, Grecian-columned reception area and four floors of bedrooms accessed via a beautiful antique lift. All rooms are the epitome of grandeur. They are light, spacious and elegant and every one is individual. Many have french doors leading out onto little terraces.
Hotel du Cap Eden Roc is now made up of three accommodation wings. The main building has a variety of traditional accommodations ranging from single rooms to bachelor suites. The adjoining Les Deux Fontaines has only single and double rooms, while the more exclusive Eden-Roc wing harbors the top choices, all of which have private sea-view terraces. Rooms in the main building have high ceilings, tasteful appointments with period, nautical or rustic detailing and elegant marble bathrooms. The 32 rooms in Les Deux Fontaines are air-conditioned and superbly appointed with thick carpeting, sophisticated fabrics in coordinated pastel colors, classic furniture and are large beautiful, well-appointed bathrooms. The magnificent Eden-Roc Suites guarantee balconies and are set on the edge of the cliffs overlooking the Mediterranean Sea.
Hotel du Cap Eden Roc is one of few genuinely glamorous rendezvous spots left in the world, it’s sophistication and exclusivity make it an absolute must for the well seasoned and well to do traveler during a vacation on the Cote d’Azur.
